Postnatal & Baby Massage Course Thailand

Short answer

Michael Thai Massage School offers a 60-hour Post-natal Massage course and a 30-hour Baby & Child Massage course as advanced specialisations. We do not run a pregnancy (prenatal) massage course, because that client group carries higher risk. A core course is recommended first. Ask the school for current prices and dates of the advanced courses.

"Pregnancy massage" and "postnatal massage" are often searched together, but they are different jobs with very different risk.

What we teach and what we do not

During pregnancyAfter birth
RiskHigh, many contraindicationsLower, still needs care
Taught hereNoYes, 60 hours

We also teach Baby & Child Massage, 30 hours, which suits both professionals and parents.

Ask the school for prices and dates. All specialisations are on the courses page.

Foundation first

This work depends on knowing contraindications and controlling pressure. Take Thai massage 150 hours or oil massage 150 hours first.

Where the work is

Postnatal care is mostly home-visit work, often booked as a series, and it spreads by word of mouth among new mothers. It has a lot in common with massage for elderly care.

Health massage is not medical treatment. Mothers should consult their doctor first.

Planning your training

A core course takes 19 days and the postnatal course is 60 hours, so allow about four weeks. See how long it takes to learn Thai massage.

The bottom line

Build a foundation, then specialise in postnatal and baby massage. Contact us or try the course finder.

Frequently asked questions

Do you teach pregnancy massage?
No. We teach post-natal massage (60 hours) and baby and child massage (30 hours), not massage during pregnancy.
How long is the postnatal massage course?
60 hours.
Do I need a foundation first?
Yes, we recommend a core 150-hour course so you know anatomy, contraindications and body mechanics.
Does postnatal massage treat medical conditions?
No. Health massage supports relaxation and eases muscle tension. Mothers should check with their doctor before any treatment.
